Summary: Dillon suffers after witnessing his wayward brother commit suicide. As relief from his struggling emotions Dillon trains for a triathalon. Dillon writes letters to his dead brother telling him about the child that his brother fathered. Dillon also is best friends with the girl's basketball star. Despite her success on the court she is not happy. Dillon discovers that she is being sexually abused by her stepfather. He does his best to help her out while struggling through his own problems of his brothers death and his own family that fell apart.
