Summary: Fifteen year old, Liz Hall, wakes up one morning in a strange bed. The bed is on a boat going somewhere, somewhere away from her family. She realizes that everyone, including herself is wearing pajamas. Liz becomes friends with her roommate, Thandi. They both soon realize that they are dead and on their way to a place called Elsewhere. Once they arrive in Elsewhere Liz is met by her grandmother who had died before Liz had a chance to get to know her. Her grandmother is very young and growing younger. Liz learns she is growing younger as well. She struggles with living in Elsewhere despite the friendships she makes, including with someone who once was a famous rock star on earth. Liz discovers she can get back to earth sooner than she thought.
