Summary: In 1910, Bella, an immigrant from Italy, arrives in America to work and send money back to Italy for her starving family. She finds work at the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory working long hours in horrible working conditions. She becomes friends with Yetta, an immigrant from Russia, who has been fighting for worker's rights. Bella learns her family in Italy has died from a serious illness and must worry about her own survival. Bella and Yetta go on strike as the conditions in the factory worsens. Jane, a wealthy young girl, becomes interested in the workers at the factory and goes against her father and begins fighting for the worker's rights as well. While Jane visits the factory a fire starts . . . killing many of the girls.
Rank: 4.5 Stars, very interesting historically and entertaining.
